Vibration Absorber

The low self-damping characteristics of steel can lead to strong, wind-induced vibrations.

The use of a vibration absorber can reduce this dynamic strain to such an extent that it becomes nearly static. This enables an efficient dimensioning and enhances the longevity of the steel stack.

As early as in the seventies we developed vibration absorbers for horizontal vibrations in cooperation with Professor Ch. Petersen of TU Munich (Technical University of Munich). Being in use all over the world, these vibration absorbers have become a real success story.
We have extended our product range to vibration absorbers for vertical vibrations, e. g. vibrations that occur in stadiums and on bridges.
