Safety against earthquakes

Structural movements from earthquake can be considerably larger and more complex than under normal operation. To avoid unnecessarily big expansion joints on the one hand and to protect the structure from impact damages on the other hand the MAURER Modular Expansion Joints can be provided with a breaking point device, i..e. the so-called fuse box.
Utilisation of the structure next to a quake  -  at least for emergency vehicles  -  can thus be granted.
